Small things matter!

How often do we encounter a small gesture from someone we know or from someone who's a complete stranger? Does it have any sort of impact on you? Let's say you were walking down a busy street and accidentally bumped into somebody causing the drink you were holding to spill. Let's say that person was kind enough to lend you a tissue, all the anger that was bubbling inside you would diminish and quickly be replaced with gratitude, but what if that person didn't acknowledge the spill and walked away? You'd be bitter about it for a while right?

Small gestures can really go a long way even if it's so much as someone lending you a napkin. In a world full of digital communication, from not getting enough likes on Instagram to not responding to text messages, small gestures have increased their value, whether it's holding the door for the person behind you or simply smiling at the person sitting next to you, could make a worlds difference for them.

Appreciation can be of so many types whether it's nature which happens to be my favorite type! It may be the flavourful coffee you made while watching your favorite tv show. It could be a feeling of gratitude towards friends and family, the list is never ending only if we choose to see it!

Quite recently, I was having a conversation with my friend and she mentioned how she made the best bowl of warm oatmeal that really set the right mood for her to carry on with her day, that's when I actually realized it's the smallest things that count! It might sound strange but changes your perspective on everything! My point being, appreciation of any sort is important and always sets a positive mood for the day. It's the smallest things that matter the most right?

Getting to know me!✨

Hey, this is my very first blog post and the last time I felt this much pressure was probably during my Alevel board exams!   So to begin with I would love to introduce myself, I'm a regular 17year old who wants to stay anonymous for the time being. I'm in my last year of Alevels so that means alot of big changes are coming my way! The thought of graduating actually feels unreal. I still remember the time I used to look at all the seniors graduating and think to myself "it's probably gonna take ages to get there and it looks like so much work" but now here I am graduating in just a few months! Time flies when you're busy worrying about why time isn't flying fast enough haha!  I also love being sorrounded by nature! I can't begin to tell you how many times I've stopped the most important work I'm doing just to stare at fluffy clouds and pretty sunsets!  I feel nature really connects humans to the beautiful big world we live in and sets ...

A "not so inspiring" blog post!

So I've had some trouble thinking of topics to blog about and I thought why not talk about exactly that. When I first started writing, I had this idea in my head that the posts I write should always have an aim and should always be up to the level but as the days passed I realized it's not always going to be that way.   Blogging shouldn't always have to be focused on talking about topics that need to be heard by the majority. Honestly, sometimes it can be as simple as  "How my day was" or " How I completed a task that I didn't feel like completing". In my opinion, blogging is basically journalling that's open to the public. Don't you think?    We express our emotions by simply talking about them and receive feedback that usually goes something like "I can totally relate to this" which is what motivates me to continue writing! There's something therapeutic about writing, even if it's the most random of topics. I never ...

The right time.

Back in September, I met my neighbors for the first time, and instantly felt a connection with them! I remember it was a warm Wednesday afternoon when a few ladies from my neighborhood came over at our place for tea.   I had school that morning and still remember how I wasn't too thrilled about meeting them because of the crazy amount of schoolwork I had to complete. Also, the fact that I was sleep deprived didn't help either.   However, I'm glad my neighbors came over because I met 2 girls who're around my age and let's just say we became good friends by the end of the gathering. That was the beginning of our most regular and spontaneous hangouts.   The point of this short story is that good things happen when we least expect it but certainly need the most. We might think that the situation we're facing isn't for the better or maybe isn't happening at the right time but in reality, everything that happens to us happens for a reason and the timi...
