The right time.


  Back in September, I met my neighbors for the first time, and instantly felt a connection with them! I remember it was a warm Wednesday afternoon when a few ladies from my neighborhood came over at our place for tea.

  I had school that morning and still remember how I wasn't too thrilled about meeting them because of the crazy amount of schoolwork I had to complete. Also, the fact that I was sleep deprived didn't help either.

  However, I'm glad my neighbors came over because I met 2 girls who're around my age and let's just say we became good friends by the end of the gathering. That was the beginning of our most regular and spontaneous hangouts.

  The point of this short story is that good things happen when we least expect it but certainly need the most. We might think that the situation we're facing isn't for the better or maybe isn't happening at the right time but in reality, everything that happens to us happens for a reason and the timing is usually always perfect, even though we might not see that in the midst of it.

  I sometimes wonder what it would be like, had I not met them?
I would have missed out on some really amazing people. On the other hand, what it would be like had I met them at a time that wasn't right? Or maybe trying to force the friendship? Maybe we wouldn't have felt that connection at all and we'd still be strangers today!

 What I'm trying to say is that we should really stop trying to do things perfectly, stop planning everything out from the beginning to the end and just take the time and moment we have right now, making it perfect and memorable.

  Let's just try to focus on the 24hours we have and make the most of it, the rest will all fall into place at the right time.

    I totally agree with this. Things really do happen for a reason. I remembered crying so much when I decided to move to a place I've never been to. I thought I'll never enjoy the place and the people as well but turned out that, it's one of the best decisions ever. I've met some of the best and truest people whom I can proudly call as my dearest life-long friends. Yes, we never had the perfect "friend-relationship" but at the end of the day, we always have each other's back ☺️

Stop trying to reach other people’s expectations.

  I consider myself to be an observant person and quite recently I started noticing how some people put in so much effort trying to please others that they often forget who they are in the process.   I’ve had a few friendships in the past where I used to do everything to keep that person in my life, to the point where I’d stop caring about my own feelings and some people took that as an opportunity to mold me into the person they wanted me to be. Getting to know me!✨

  Hey, this is my very first blog post and the last time I felt this much pressure was probably during my Alevel board exams!   So to begin with I would love to introduce myself, I'm a regular 17year old who wants to stay anonymous for the time being. I'm in my last year of Alevels so that means alot of big changes are coming my way! The thought of graduating actually feels unreal. I still remember the time I used to look at all the seniors graduating and think to myself "it's probably gonna take ages to get there and it looks like so much work" but now here I am graduating in just a few months! Time flies when you're busy worrying about why time isn't flying fast enough haha!  I also love being sorrounded by nature!
