My top 6 favorite horror movies!

I'm a sucker for horror movies! If I was asked to make a motto related to a movie genre it would definitely have to be " the chiller, the better!" I think I've always preferred a movie that has you on the edge of your seat at all times and by all, I literally mean ALL. Anything less than that automatically makes the movie a 5/10 which is why it's impossible for me to find any movie worth watching.

Although, I've watched a few movies that left me petrified when I was a kid. The first one to make the list would have to be Paranormal activity, more specifically the first part which was the start of my horror genre obsession! The anticipation didn't leave until the movie came to an end! Call me weird but even tho I had trouble sleeping for a few days I enjoyed how every scene made you wanna rip your eyes out but want to watch it at the same time! Not to mention, I was around the age of 10 when I thought I was old enough to watch it so it might not even be that frightening!

My personal favorite would have to be Insidious. Most of us have a sweet spot for this movie mainly because it was the first movie in a while to actually stay true to its genre. I watch insidious like it's my comfort movie...which I have started to consider because it never leaves you feeling okay after you're done watching it! Not to mention its partner The conjuring which really did leave me wanting more and boy was I ecstatic when part 2 came out!

Oh and how can I forget Lights out. That was an eventful day, I remember my cousins and I went to the cinema and I couldn’t help but scream at the most random scenes for which I received quite a few amused looks. But it was worth it because the movie was great!

I also enjoyed most of the Saw parts. I mean who doesn't love an extremely violent movie that has 7 sequels?

And finally, the last movie to make this list is One missed call. Even though it came out way back in 2008 it holds it's importance to this day! Never have I dreaded a ringtone to this extent! In my opinion, the ending was the best part of the movie don't you think? It definitely left you with your eyes tightly shut! Granted, I probably haven't watched a lot of movies but these are the top horror movies that I never get bored of watching!

Life as we know it.

The term YOLO sounds so simple yet so particularly deep. Sure, we live only once but we also experience each day once which sounds bizarre considering we live every day in the same pattern.  Every day that we live, every minute that passes by never comes back almost like we’ll never relive today again even if tomorrow feels the same!   This makes me wonder how a small improvement to a 24 hour day can change the way we live it. I sometimes find myself pondering life. How it’s the perfect balance of consistency and inconsistency, how one decision made today can completely alter the route of your life the next day. It’s the perception of realizing that there are so many people in this world who we’ll never know, who will never have any impact on us or whose life we’ll never be a part of.   It’s the notion that no matter how slow or fast time flies, it’s always somehow moving forward and never stationary. It’s the awareness that happiness can be attained if we’r...

Stop trying to reach other people’s expectations.

I consider myself to be an observant person and quite recently I started noticing how some people put in so much effort trying to please others that they often forget who they are in the process.   I’ve had a few friendships in the past where I used to do everything to keep that person in my life, to the point where I’d stop caring about my own feelings and some people took that as an opportunity to mold me into the person they wanted me to be. Granted, I was a kid back then...still am but I never thought it would actually have an effect on me until now.   It’s necessary to put in your effort to make friendships work but honestly, if you don’t see those efforts being reciprocated and appreciated, then it’s not long before everything falls apart.   I have a friend who recently had a fall out with someone she considered her best friend. And initially, everything felt okay but as the years passed she began to realize how it was always her constant efforts that ...

Getting to know me!✨

Hey, this is my very first blog post and the last time I felt this much pressure was probably during my Alevel board exams!   So to begin with I would love to introduce myself, I'm a regular 17year old who wants to stay anonymous for the time being. I'm in my last year of Alevels so that means alot of big changes are coming my way! The thought of graduating actually feels unreal. I still remember the time I used to look at all the seniors graduating and think to myself "it's probably gonna take ages to get there and it looks like so much work" but now here I am graduating in just a few months! Time flies when you're busy worrying about why time isn't flying fast enough haha!  I also love being sorrounded by nature! I can't begin to tell you how many times I've stopped the most important work I'm doing just to stare at fluffy clouds and pretty sunsets!  I feel nature really connects humans to the beautiful big world we live in and sets ...
