How waking up early changed my life.

As a student, one of the most important focus of my life is getting enough time to study and at the same time being able to de-stress.

One of my teachers told me the power of waking up early. He mentioned how it changed his life for the better.

For most of us, getting out of bed earlier than usual on a working day is physically impossible and I was one those people that never thought it would work for me, mainly because I thought I needed as much sleep as I could possibly get.

Long story short, I decided to give it a shot and the first day I attempted to wake up at 5am, I literally had to fight myself to get out of bed but failed and overslept.

I kept trying until eventually, I woke up early and that day turned out to be a lot different than the other days. I felt eccentrically energetic. A sense of productivity loomed over me.

That day was one of the most productive days I ever had and so, I turned this into a routine. Waking up early made me feel more in control of how I spend my time.

I also noticed how optimistic I felt while getting things done, not to mention feeling less stressed and tired during the day. The twilight period has to be one of the most therapeutic of times.

Sipping on my tea while listening to the birds chirping and the slight visibility of light really sets a positive mindset for the day. I feel like as students, there is so much pressure to get things done on time that we often forget to take time out for ourselves and that can really harm our mental health.

Being able to give yourself time to de-stress is so important and I feel everyone should try getting up early at least once in their life. It really makes a lot more difference than we think.

Getting to know me!✨

Hey, this is my very first blog post and the last time I felt this much pressure was probably during my Alevel board exams!   So to begin with I would love to introduce myself, I'm a regular 17year old who wants to stay anonymous for the time being. I'm in my last year of Alevels so that means alot of big changes are coming my way! The thought of graduating actually feels unreal. I still remember the time I used to look at all the seniors graduating and think to myself "it's probably gonna take ages to get there and it looks like so much work" but now here I am graduating in just a few months! Time flies when you're busy worrying about why time isn't flying fast enough haha!  I also love being sorrounded by nature! I can't begin to tell you how many times I've stopped the most important work I'm doing just to stare at fluffy clouds and pretty sunsets!  I feel nature really connects humans to the beautiful big world we live in and sets ...

Life as we know it.

The term YOLO sounds so simple yet so particularly deep. Sure, we live only once but we also experience each day once which sounds bizarre considering we live every day in the same pattern.  Every day that we live, every minute that passes by never comes back almost like we’ll never relive today again even if tomorrow feels the same!   This makes me wonder how a small improvement to a 24 hour day can change the way we live it. I sometimes find myself pondering life. How it’s the perfect balance of consistency and inconsistency, how one decision made today can completely alter the route of your life the next day. It’s the perception of realizing that there are so many people in this world who we’ll never know, who will never have any impact on us or whose life we’ll never be a part of.   It’s the notion that no matter how slow or fast time flies, it’s always somehow moving forward and never stationary. It’s the awareness that happiness can be attained if we’r...

There's always more to the story.

Quite often, I observe a lot of people struggling to achieve something great, something that will change the way they live their normal ordinary lives, something that will change the way others think about them. Usually, the outcomes vary but it always ends up benefitting them in ways they couldn't have imagined.   These days, the idea of success is based on how huge the outcome is in no relevance to the input. Most of us assume that we're only successful if we've achieved what we've been working so hard for but it's not all about the end result. Every step we take towards something we're passionate about, big or small is an achievement. It could be something as little as getting out of bed when you thought you couldn't or as big as accomplishing your monthly or yearly goals.   Often times, it becomes a task to even consider the small failures as something that help build our success story because we're convinced that success has to be this pictur...
